Nicholas Rowe ’06 graduated from Lyndon State College with a degree in allied health sciences (now known as exercise science). He went on to earn a master’s degree in occupational therapy in 2010.
Nick transferred from Cayuga Community College to Lyndon for his sophomore year. While a student, he was starting goalkeeper his sophomore, junior, and senior years. He was Team MVP all three years and Conference Goalkeeper of the Year his junior and senior years. Nick was one of four team captains his final year when the Hornet’s made the conference semifinals. He stayed on as the goalkeeper’s coach at Lyndon for two seasons, helping the team win their conference in his first season and coaching the conference goalkeeper of the year.
Nick was also a mainstay at several youth and high school soccer camps and clinics in the Northeast Kingdom, a one-on-one mentor to many goalkeepers at St. Johnsbury Academy and Lyndon Institute, and was also associate recreation director in St. Johnsbury.
Nick has been the varsity boys’ soccer coach at Winnacunnet High School in Hampton, N.H. since 2007. In 2012, Nick led his team to their best record since 2001. He has been named New Hampshire Division I Boys Soccer Coach of the Year and was on the coaching staff for the Twin Cup match against Vermont. Several of his players have gone on to play collegiate soccer.
Nick is a current senior staff member of the New Hampshire Goalkeeping Academy. He and his wife, Meaghan Laferriere Rowe ’05, live in Hampton, N.H., with their children, Madeleine and Hudson.
