Jennifer Quirion Davis had a unique experience at Lyndon. She attended classes on the Lyndon campus and participated in Lyndon athletics and other campus activities, while technically a Castleton State College student. Through a partnership between Lyndon and Castleton, students were able to take nursing classes on the Lyndon campus. During that time, Jen ran cross country as a Hornet. She received her associate degree in nursing in 2004 from Castleton and went on to earn her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Vermont in 2013.
While running for Lyndon, Jen was named to the all-state team three times and to the NAIA all-region team all four years she ran. She was the individual Mayflower Conference champion in 1999 and 2000 and regional runner-up in 1999 and 2002. Impressively, Jen is the only female Lyndon runner to qualify for the NAIA National Championship three times (1999, 2001, 2002). In 1999, she was the highest placed and had the fastest time (19:31) of any Lyndon female at the championship. Jen is believed to the be second fastest woman of all time for Lyndon in the 5K.
Jen has been employed by North Country Hospital since 2005. She earned and maintains her certification in her specialty of nursing as a Certified Registered Nurse of the Operating Room (CNOR). She also has earned and maintains her Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification, her Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification, and her Neonatal Resuscitation certification. She is the anesthesia coordinator within the surgical services department.
Jen has coached five and six year old children for the Northern Vermont Recreational Youth Soccer League. Her hope is to see children start at an early age being active and engaged in athletics. She is also a part of the parent-teacher association at her children's school, engaging children and their parents with their community.
Jen lives in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont with her husband Jeremy and their two children.
