Jamie (Rosso) Brown '05 graduated from Lyndon in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Early & Elementary Education. Her athletic achievements include: being named Team Captain for 3 years (2002-05); All Mayflower Conference 1st Team selection (2004-05); 1,000-Point Scorer (2005); two-time NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete (2003-05); NAIA Champion of Character Award (2005); three-time Conference Scholar-Athlete (2002-05) and three-time Lyndon and Sunrise Scholar Athlete Award winner (2002-05);
She was a member of the 2004-2005 Women's Basketball team that won Sunrise Conference championship tournament and competed to NAIA National Tournament. Her teams played in conference final for all three seasons she was on the team, losing in final in 2003-04
Her performance earned her the Outstanding Team Player Award (2003, 2005); and the Team Most Valuable Player (2004).
In academic circles, Brown graduated magna cum laude, was given the Rita L. Bole Award for Outstanding Students, Arthur B. Elliott Honor Society, Education Department Outstanding Senior Award, and Robert E. Long Scholar and was an Alpha Chi Honors Recipient in 2005. She is listed among Who's Who among Students in American Colleges & Universities.
After holding the position of first grade Teacher at Whitingham Elementary School from 2006 through 2008, she decided to become a stay-at-home mom. Brown is still Summer Recreation Camp Director in Wilmington and was girls' junior varsity and varsity at Twin Valley Union High School. In her spare time she serves on the Valley Youth Sports Committee.
