Lyndonville, Vermont - Evan Perez (Livonia, Michigan) of Clarenceville High School in Livonia, Michigan has deposited and committed to the Vermont State University Lyndon Men's Soccer program for the Fall 2026 semester. Perez will study Criminal Justice.
Perez was two and a half year varsity player for the Trojans. Primarily playing as a central defending midfielder and a left wing back for Clarenceville. Perez was a named a team captain for one season and was a member of the league runner-up team in the 2024 season. His defensive minded style of play led him to be the statistical leader in aerial duels won.
Off the pitch, Perez is also a member of the Trojans baseball team where he is a starting outfielder. He has also left his mark within the Clarenceville school district founding the school's archiving club.
Jesus Gonzalez, the varsity soccer coach at Clarenceville High School, described Perez as the glue of his program. "Evan has an incredible impact on the field that goes beyond skill. He leads by example and can effectively play any position we put him in."
Coach Zach Blaser is happy to bring Perez into the program. "Evan is a defensively minded player with great awareness and defensive positioning. His ability to play as a center defensive mid. and outside back will help give the team depth and quality for the upcoming season."
Perez joins Fisher Lajoie, Adrian Placencia Jr., Gavin Rummler and Cayden Cowley in Lyndon's Fall 2026 recruiting class. The Hornets expect to announce additional commitments in the near future.
