Hornet Men's Soccer Continues to Build Back Line Adding Jett Burnett

Lyndonville, VT - Jett Burnett (Layton, UT) of Clearfield High School in Clearfield, Utah has deposited and committed to the Vermont State University Lyndon Men's Soccer program for the Fall 2026 semester. Burnett will enroll in the Outdoor Education, Leadership, and Tourism program.

Burnett was a starting defender at Clearfield High School for one season. For the Falcons, he has been a strong presence in the back line. The Falcons are 3-10 on the year thus far, with Burnett being a key part of all three of those victories. In addition to his play for Clearfield, he also played club soccer for Utah Real, and La Roca soccer clubs.

Burnett has excelled in the classroom taking both honors and AP courses in high school. Additionally, he has also learned to weld through Davis Technical College.

His head coach emphasized getting your "Daily Responsibilities" done and attributed attacking those each day as to why Burnett has found success at the High School level.

Zach Blaser, Lyndon's Men's Soccer head coach is stoked to add another strong player to his defense "Jett is an aggressive player both on and off the ball. He has good defensive positioning and is capable of playing with the ball while under pressure. We look forward to adding him to our back line for this upcoming season."

Burnett joins Fisher Lajoie, Adrian Placencia Jr., Gavin Rummler, Cayden Cowley, Evan Perez, and Gavin Getz in Lyndon's Fall 2026 recruiting class.  The Hornets expect to announce additional commitments in the near future.
