Lyndonville, VT - Charles Ishiabwe (Milwaukee, WI) of Milwaukee High School of the Arts in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has committed and deposited to the Vermont State University Lyndon Men's Soccer program for the Fall 2026 semester. He will study Criminal Justice.
Ishiabwe played 4 years of varsity soccer at Milwaukee HS of the Arts. In his career he scored 30 goals and racked up 65 assists. He was named to the Milwaukee City Conference First team and named the Conference's best midfielder. Additionally, Ishiabwe led his team to a state championship appearance. The Crimson Stars finished 13-11-1 in Charles senior season.
Ishiabwe was not just a standout for the Crimson Stars, but was also actively involved playing club soccer with the Global youth support center and the Milwaukee sport club.
Men's Soccer Head Coach Zach Blaser is happy to add Ishiabwe's winning experience to his team "Charles can play in several positions which will be great for the team this upcoming season. He has a proven record of scoring and creating goals as well as the drive to help his teammates both on and off the field. His experience in high level games such as the state championship shows that he is able to handle pressure and should transition to college and help the team this upcoming season".
Ishiabwe joins Fisher Lajoie, Adrian Placencia Jr., Gavin Rummler, Cayden Cowley, Evan Perez, Gavin Getz and Jett Burnett in Lyndon's Fall 2026 recruiting class. The Hornets expect to announce additional commitments in the near future.
