VTSU Lyndon announces its 2025 Volleyball Schedule

Lyndonville, VT - Vermont State University Lyndon has released its 2025 volleyball schedule.  The Hornets will open their season in the annual Vermont Volleyball Classic, to be hosted this season by Norwich University.  Lyndon will take on the host Cadets and Vermont State University Castleton on Saturday, August 30th, then wrap up play against Vermont State University Johnson on Sunday, August 31st.

Lyndon has a 30-game regular season slate, featuring eight North Atlantic Conference matchups.  The Hornets will face each of the other eight volleyball playing NAC schools once.  Lyndon will host VTSU Johnson, the State University of New York at Delhi, the State University of New York at Cobleskill, Maine Maritime Academy, and Husson University.  The Hornets will travel to the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Lesley University, and Thomas College.  The top six teams in the regular season will qualify for the NAC Championship Tournament, with the tournament winner earning automatic qualification to the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament.

In addition to the three matches in the season opening Vermont Classic, the Hornets' non-conference slate will include additional non-conference matches against Maine Maritime and Thomas, as well as matchups with NCAA Division III opponents Bridgewater State University, Dean College, Mitchell College, Anna Maria College, Albertus Magnus College, Plymouth State University, and Massachusetts Maritime Academy.  Lyndon will also take on in-state rival and United States Small College Athletic Association member Vermont State University Randolph in a doubleheader.  Matches against USCAA schools Paul Smith's College and Bay Path University and a pair of doubleheaders against National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics member Fisher College round out the schedule.

Lyndon will be looking to rebound from a winless 2024 campaign and build a foundation for the program's future this season.
