LYNDON CENTER, Vt. – Patrice Lumumba (Burlington, Vt.) scored two goals, and Darren Roberge (Sheldon Springs, Vt.) and Anthony Dana (Springfield, Vt.) tallied one each to propel the Lyndon State College men's soccer team to a 4-2 victory over Southern Maine Community College.

Lumumba opened the scoring at the 30:48 mark of the opening half to give the Hornets a 1-0 lead and added an insurance goal with 53 seconds remaining in the game. Tyler Bullard (North Hyde Park, Vt.) collected two assists for the hornets while Dana and Dustin Ameden ( Jamaica, Vt.) had one each.

Alexander Jenkins and Maxx Coombs had one goal apiece for the Seawolves, and the tandem of Joe Anderson and Andrew Payne had one assist.

Lyndon goalkeeper Ian Oliver (Westport, Vt.) made four saves to earn the victory while SMCC Matt Richio turned aside 11 shots. The Hornets outshot the Seawolves 30-12 in the contest.
