Lyndonville, VT - Travis Graf (Manchester, NH) and Mauricio Dayan (Mexico City, Mexico) have deposited and committed to the Vermont State University Lyndon baseball program for 2026-27. Graf, a 2024 graduate of Manchester High School Central in Manchester, NH, transfers to Lyndon from New Hampshire Technical Institute and will study Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Dayan, a 2025 graduate of Colegio Hebreo Tarbut in Mexico City, will study Outdoor Education & Leadership with a concentration in Adventure Education.
Graf, a pitcher and infielder, played two years at NHTI. He made 11 appearances on the mound for the Lynx, notching 26 strikeouts over 50.2 innings of work. At the plate he batted .285 with 19 runs batted in and nine extra base hits. He was a Yankee Small College Conference honorable mention all-conference selection in his sophomore season, and received United States Small College Athletic Association national academic honors. Prior to NHTI, Graf played high school baseball for the Manchester Central-West co-op team, and played travel baseball with the Granite Heat Baseball Club. Last summer he played in the Greater Northeast Collegiate Baseball League.
VTSU Lyndon baseball coach Cameron Curler believes that Graff's college experience will be a boost to his team. "I am really excited to add Travis to our squad. There are a number of ways where he will be able to help our team and he is someone who has already been an All-Conference performer at the college level."
Graf is looking forward to joining the Hornet program. "I chose Lyndon because I got the opportunity to continue my education while playing college baseball. I like the fact that it's a small school and after talking to Coach Curler and some players, I like the direction the program is going and the expectations that are set."
Dayan is a utility player and pitcher. Most recently he competed in the Israel Association of Baseball Premier League, the highest level of domestic competition in Israel. He was 2-0 on the mound for the Tel Aviv Gren Machine, notching 12 strikeouts in 11.2 innings. He also posted a .524 on base percentage and stole five bases. Dayan was also selected to represent Benito Juárez County in Comisión Nacional de Cultura Física y Deporte, Mexico's premier national sports competition. He competed locally in Liga Petrolera de Béisbol, Mexico City's youth baseball and softball organization, where among other accomplishments he tossed a no-hitter in 2023. In addition to playing baseball, Dayan was also a standout soccer player.
Curler feels that Dayan's background playing at high levels in Mexico will provide immediate dividends. "Mauricio comes to Vermont with a super unique and impressive baseball background. He has represented his country at the national level and his positional versatility will give him opportunities to make an impact early on in his collegiate career."
Dayan is excited to experience a new environment. "I chose Lyndon because I wanted a new challenge for myself. After talking with Coach Curler, In realized that Lyndon is the right place for me to continue playing baseball while pursuing my education. I believe this opportunity will help me grow as both an athlete and a student, and I'm excited to continue improving and being part of the Lyndon community."
Graf and Dayan join Daniel Kuindersma (Oakfield, ME), Jack Edelstein (Rochester, NY), Dawson Himes (Lyman, NH), Jonah Javier (Pickering, ON), Jackson Dwyer (Lyndonville, VT), Griffin Lawson (Lunenburg, VT), Wyatt Cadwell (Stratford, VT), and Liam Paquette (Monroe, NH) in Lyndon's Fall 2026 class.
