Lyndonville, VT - Vermont State University Lyndon has released its 2026 volleyball schedule. The Hornets will open their season in the annual Vermont Volleyball Classic, to be hosted this season by Vermont State University Castleton. Lyndon will take on Norwich University and Vermont State University Castleton on Saturday, September 5th, then wrap up play against host VTSU Castleton on Sunday, September 6th.
Lyndon has a 25-game regular season slate, featuring 12 North Atlantic Conference matchups. The Hornets will face each of the other six volleyball playing NAC schools in doubleheaders. Lyndon will host Lesley University, the University of Maine at Presque Isle, and Maine Maritime Academy. The Hornets will travel to Thomas College, Husson University, and VTSU Johnson. The top four teams in the regular season will qualify for the NAC Championship Tournament, hosted by the regular season champion on November 14th and 15th. The tournament winner earns automatic qualification to the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament.
In addition to the three matches in the season opening Vermont Classic, the Hornets' non-conference slate will include matchups with NCAA Division III opponents New England College, Albertus Magnus College, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Plymouth State University, and Curry College. Lyndon will round out the schedule with a pair of doubleheaders at United States Small College Athletic Association members Paul Smith's College and Vermont State University Randolph.
Lyndon will be looking to build upon a 2025 season which saw the Hornets finish 3-22 overall and 1-7 in NAC play.
