Lyndonville, VT - Vermont State University Lyndon closed out its 2025 season Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 loss to Husson University in North Atlantic Conference play at Stannard Gymnasium.  The Eagles won by set scores of 25-19, 25-21 and 25-14.

Before the match, the Hornets honored seniors Kiara Mack (Winooski, VT) and Kasandra Gonzalez (Norwalk, CA) as part of Senior Day recognition.  Mack and Gonzalez were joined by family members and friends, and were presented tokens of appreciation for their contributions to Lyndon volleyball.

Husson wrapped up the regular season at 9-16 overall and 7-1 in NAC play.  Lyndon finished 3-22 overall and 1-7 in the conference.

Sydney Clunis (Windsor, ON) led the Hornets with five kills and added 13 digs.  Gonzalez recorded a team-high 16 digs in her final collegiate match.  Lyndon finished with 11 kills as a team.

Husson held a decisive statistical edge, leading 34-11 in kills and 11-5 in aces.  Kate McPhee and Shanteena Griffiths each had nine kills to pace the Eagles, while Jonna Travis delivered six aces.

Lyndon stayed within striking distance late in the second set, closing to 22-20 before Husson scored three of the final four points to take a 2-0 lead.  The Eagles carried that momentum into the third to close out the match and the Hornets' 2025 campaign.
