Nathan Moore runs well at Maple Syrup Challenge

Randolph, VT - Nathan Moore (Norwich, CT) began his senior season with a strong outing in rainy conditions at Saturday's Silloway Maple Syrup Challenge, hosted by Vermotn State University Randolph.  Moore navigated the 8K course in 31:56.21, good for 48th place in the field of 98 runners.  His time was a personal best by almost two minutes on the Randolph course.

Benjamin Hughes of Middlebury College took race honors, finishing in a time of 27:26.38, under two seconds in front of Fitchburg State University's Paulino Guevara.  Middlebury cruised to team honors, well ahead of Fitchburg.

VTSU Lyndon head coach Chris Chichester is happy with Moore's continued progress.  "Nathan ran in some pretty heavy rain and still turned in a nearly two minute personal best on the hilly VTC course!  His continued improvement shows no sign of slowing down.  Hopefully we can fill out both rosters by next meet and showcase more Hornet Speed."

Lyndon's next scheduled race is the North Atlantic Conference Preview, hosted by Husson University on October 4th.
