Bangor, ME - Vermont State University Lyndon senior Nathan Moore (Norwich, CT) ran to a top 25 finish in Saturday's North Atlantic Conference Men's Cross Country Championship.  Moore battled strong winds to complete the 8K Saxl Park course in 32:58.57, good for 24th place.  It was Moore's best finish in four NAC Championship races.
The University of Maine at Farmington placed four runners in the top ten to edge Thomas College for the team Championship.  William Spaulding of Maine Maritime Academy crossed the finish line in 27:42.80 to take individual honors.
Lyndon cross country coach Chris Chichester was impressed with how Moore competed in less than ideal conditions.  "The gale force winds were no match for Nate today.  He powered through for his best NAC finish in his career, finally cracking the top 25.  I hope he can catch a break with the weather in Saint Lawrence and run an 8k personal record."
Moore will close out his Lyndon career in two weeks, on November 15th, when he competes in the NCAA Division III Mideast Championships, hosted by Saint Lawrence University.  The men's championship will go off at 11:00 am on the Ronald C. Hoffman Course in Canton, NY.
