Waterville, ME - Vermont State University Lyndon cross country runner Nathan Moore (Norwich, CT) has been named to the 2025 North Atlantic Conference Men's Cross Country Sportsmanship Team, as voted on by conference coaches and announced on Wednesday. Moore was also a Sportsmanship Team selection in 2023 and 2024.
Moore, a senior atmospheric sciences major, was Lyndon's top runner all season. He placed 24th in the recent North Atlantic Conference Championship meet, his best NAC finish in his four-year career. He completed the 8K Saxl Park course in Bangor, ME, in 32:58.57. His best 8K time of the season was 31:56.21 at the Vermont State University Randolph Maple Syrup Challenge.
Sportsmanship Team honorees were selected for consistently demonstrating the tenets of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. They positively influenced the cross country culture and race environment by exemplifying integrity beyond the rules and etiquette of the sport.
Moore will conclude his Lyndon career at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships, hosted by Saint Lawrence University, this Saturday in Canton, NY. The men's championship race will go off at 11:00 am.
