Canton, NY - Vermont State University Lyndon men's cross country runner Nathan Moore (Norwich CT) wrapped up his four-year career with a strong showing at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships, hosted by Saint Lawrence University on Saturday morning. Moore completed the 8K course in 31:29.8, his best time at that distance this season, and nearly a minute faster than his previous best on the Saint Lawrence course.
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institure captured the team championship, placing six runners in the top 15 to easily outdistance Williams College. Nathan Tassey of Roger Williams University captured individual honors, crossing the finish line in 25:05.5.
VTSU Lyndon head coach Chris Chichester was happy to see Moore close his career on a high note. "Nate ran a gritty race on the muddy course and beat his previous time here by over a minute. It was a great last race for him as a Hornet!"
