Waterville, ME - Vermont State University Lyndon senior women's basketball player Kiara Mack (Milton, VT) has been named the North Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending November 23rd, as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Mack and the Hornets split a pair of games last week. In last Tuesday's 69-63 loss to then unbeaten Plymouth State University, Mack recorded a double double with 16 points and 12 rebounds in 31 minutes of work. She followed that up by setting a modern Lyndon program record with nine blocked shots and pulled down another 12 rebounds in only 24 minutes in Saturday's 66-47 win over Wentworth Institute of Technology. For the week she averaged 12 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocked shots per game and was a very efficient 10 for 17 from the floor.
Mack and the Hornets will return to the hardwood on Tuesday, December 2nd, when Lyndon opens NAC play with a 7:30 pm home contest against Lesley University.
