Waterville, ME - Vermont State University Lyndon volleyball player Sydney Clunis (Windsor, ON) has been named to the 2025 North Atlantic Conference Volleyball Sportsmanship Team, as voted on by conference coaches and announced on Friday.
Clunis, a freshman Criminal Justice major, was a cornerstone of this year's Hornet team. Primarily a defensive specialist, she led the team with 273 digs and a.857 reception percentage. She also made her presence felt at the net, finishing second on the team in kills with 61 and first on the team with 43 service aces.
Sportsmanship Team honorees were selected for consistently demonstrating the tenets of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. They positively influenced the volleyball culture and race environment by exemplifying integrity beyond the rules and etiquette of the sport.
Clunis is expected to be among the leading returners for the 2026 Hornet team.
