Nathan Moore garners second NAC Sportsmanship Team selection

Waterville, ME - Vermont State University Lyndon cross country runner Nathan Moore (Norwich, CT) has been named to the 2024 North Atlantic Conference Men's Cross Country Sportsmanship Team, as voted on by conference coaches and announced on Wednesday.  Moore was also a Sportsmanship Team selection in 2023.

Moore, a junior atmospheric sciences major, was again Lyndon's top runner all season.  He placed 29th in the recent North Atlantic Conference Championship meet, completing the 8K State University of New York at Delhi course in 31:21, his best finish in three NAC Championships.  His best 8K time of the season was 30:43.10 at the Terrier Invitational hosted by Thomas College.

Sportsmanship Team honorees were selected for consistently demonstrating the tenets of sportsmanship and ethical behavior.  They positively influenced the cross country culture and race environment by exemplifying integrity beyond the rules and etiquette of the sport.

Moore and the Hornets will conclude the season at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships, hosted by Connecticut College, this Saturday in Waterford, CT.  The men's championship race will go off at 12:00 noon.
