Lyndon Athletics welcomes many alumni back to campus

Lyndonville, VT - Numerous Lyndon State College and Northern Vermont University-Lyndon Hornet alumni returned to campus over the past weekend to take part in Homecoming & Family Weekend.  Once again, Hornet athletics played a prominent part in the weekend, as the Athletics Hall of Fame Induction, numerous Alumni Games, and varsity men's and women's soccer and women's tennis matches were among the highlighted activities.

The weekend kicked off on Friday evening with the induction of the NVU-Lyndon Hall of Fame Class of 2023.  The class included Robert Dickerman '84, Christopher Gobeille '95, Timothy Hagerty '04, and Patrick Hilton '13,  The 1977 & 1978 Men's Ski Teams also received special recognition.

Saturday began with the 2nd annual Mark O'Brien Men's Basketball Alumni Game.  In varsity competition, the women's tennis team hosted Husson University.  The Hornet soccer teams both hosted Maine Maritime Academy, with the women's game kicking off first and the men's game following.  The last athletic event of the day was the women's basketball alumni game.

The weekend wrapped up on Sunday with the final women's tennis matches of the season, a doubleheader against Thomas College.  Alumni games in soccer, softball, and baseball also took place.
