Lyndonville, VT - The Vermont State University Lyndon women's tennis team, playing without several regulars, dropped a 9-0 North Atlantic Conference decision to Husson University on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles improved to 4-2 overall and evened their NAC record at 2-2. Meanwhile, the Hornets remained winless in eight matches, including four conference outings.
Lyndon conceded third doubles and fifth and sixth singles due to injury retirements in the first set. The Eagles took the other six flights without dropping a game.
Lyndon will close out the season with a pair of matches against Thomas College on Sunday afternoon. The NAC matchup between the two teams will begin at 11:00 am, with a non-conference match to follow at approximately 1:00 pm.
