Lyndonville, VT - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon baseball player TJ Santaw (Newport, VT) has been named to the D3baseball.com Region 1 All-Region team, as announced on Monday. Santaw, a senior business administration major, was named the 3rd Team Shortstop. He is the fourth Lyndon player to be honored by D3baseball.com. Outfielder Codi Smith (Hartford, VT), pitcher Jake Jourdain (Becket, MA), and outfielder Andre Eason Jr. (Waterbury, VT) were all 2nd Team All-Region selections in 2021, 2019, and 2018 respectively.
Santaw enjoyed an outstanding senior season. He was named the North Atlantic Conference East Division All-Conference Shortstop, the second time that Santaw received All-Conference recognition. He was the First Team All-Conference Shortstop in 2021. Santaw batted a team best .403, good for third in the conference. He led the conference in runs scored with 50 and hits with 54. He ranked second with a .657 slugging percentage and second with 14 doubles. Santaw is a career .303 hitter and totaled 114 hits and 108 runs scored in his 113 game Lyndon career. He received the Dudley Bell Male Athlete of the Year Award at Lyndon's annual athletic banquet earlier this month.
The Hornets finished 12-23 overall and 8-8 in NAC play this season. Santaw graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration on May 14th.
