Waterville, ME - Vermont State University Lyndon baseball players Evan Duncan (Little Elm, TX), and Jess Seaton (Yorkville, IL) were honored by the North Atlantic Conference when the conference announced its end of season awards on Wednesday. Duncan was named a 2nd Team All-Conference outfielder while Seaton was named to the Sportsmanship Team.
Duncan, a sophomore, batted .284 on the season while starting all 34 games in center field. He led the team with three home runs and drove in 17 runs. He also stole 25 bases in 25 attempts, the second highest total in the conference. In NAC play his batting average rose to .302. Duncan recorded 40 putouts and two assists against only one error in center field, good for a .977 fielding percentage.
Seaton, a freshman, appeared in nine games. He drove in a run and posted a .571 on base percentage. Selection to the Sportsmanship Team is reserved for those who distinguish themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees have positively affected the softball culture and game environment by clearly demonstrating sportsmanship and integrity beyond playing rules and etiquette.
Lyndon finished 12-22 overall and 3-9 in NAC play. Duncan and Seaton are both expected back as key players on the 2026 team.
