Waterville, ME - Vermont State University Lyndon volleyball player Charlotte Morris (Middletown, DE) has been named to the 2023 North Atlantic Conference Volleyball Sportsmanship Team as voted on by conference coaches and announced on Monday. This marks the third consecutive year that Morris has been named to the Sportsmanship Team.
Morris, a junior music business and industry major, was Lyndon's most experienced player this past season. She started 20 matches. She played in and started 22 matches this season as a setter or libero. Morris led the team with 57 assists, and was second on the squad with 107 digs and 14 aces. She also chipped in with 33 kills.
The NAC Volleyball Sportsmanship Team is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees have positively affected the volleyball culture and match environment by clearly demonstrating sportsmanship and integrity beyond the volleyball playing rules and etiquette.
The Hornets completed their season last month. Lyndon put an end to a six-year, 106 match losing streak this season as the program looks to build for next year. Morris is expected to be one of the cornerstones of next year's Lyndon team.
