Box Score 2 LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Thomas upped its record to 11-9 overall and 7-1 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Eastern Division with a sweep of Lyndon Friday. The Terriers won Game 1 by a score of 11-1 and took Game 2 by a count of 7-2.
In the opener, Thomas broke open a one-run game by plating three runs in the top of the fifth. Jeff Richardson had a run-scoring double in the uprising and Ben Goodall knocked in a run with a single. The Terriers sealed the win with a two-run sixth and a four-run seventh.
Goodall turned in a 3-for-4 performance at the plate which included three singles and three runs-batted-in. Wes Perreault added three hits and one RBI and Ethan Hurley collected two hits and three RBIs.
Tim Locke went six strong innings to get the victory allowing no earned runs on five hits while striking out five and walking three.
Quinn Rambo (Avon, Ohio) and Shayne Kirby (Fairfax, Vt.) had two hits each for the Hornets and Isaac Earle (Vernon, Vt.) suffered the loss. He allowed five earned runs on nine hits while fanning three and walking two.

Three consecutive Hornet errors led to three runs in the inning as the Terriers took the lead for good. Richardson, Perreault and Joshua Gray had two hits each for the winners and Jake Chamblee went six innings to earn the win. He allowed one earned run on four hits while striking out seven and walking three.
Earle, Kirby, Shane O'Donnell-Leach (Groton, Vt.) and Robert Trucott (Lyndonville, Vt.) had one hit each for Lyndon (2-16, 1-11) and Devin Rhodes (Brattleboro, Vt.) was tagged with the loss. He allowed four earned runs on nine hits while fanning one and walking one.
