Box Score 2 LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — The Lyndon State
College Baseball Team split a doubleheader with Thomas College
Sunday at Skip Pound Field. Thomas won the first game by a score of
8-0 before Lyndon earned a 3-2 victory in game two.
In the opening game, Eric Sucy hurled a complete game shutout as
he allowed four hits, walked two, and struck out five to earn the
win. Tom Desjardins went 2-for-4 with a triple and four
runs-batted-in for the Terriers. Jeffery Richardson added three
hits and scored three runs while Tim Costa had two hits and crossed
the plate twice. Josh Gray had two RBI's in the win.

Hicks (Whitefield, N.H.), Corey
Lescault (Bristol, R.I.), Robert
Trucott (Lyndonville, Vt.), and Patrick
Hilton (Lyndonville, Vt.) accounted for Lyndon's four
hits. Shane
O'Donnell-Leach (Groton, Vt.) took the loss.
In the nightcap, Trucott stroked three hits and Hilton chipped
in with two hits to the lead the Hornet offense. Hicks, Ben
Clark (Brattleboro, Vt.), and Shawn
Lonardelli (Lebanon, Conn.) each had a hit and an RBI
in the win.
Lyndon starter Jeremy
Schichtle (Wells River, Vt.) pitched six and one-third
inning as he allowed two runs on six hits and fanned three to pick
up the win. Hilton came in to record the final two outs and a
save.
Desjardins was 3-for-4 and drove in a run for Thomas. Payton
Austin took the loss.
