Talented Center Back Emily Clark Commits to VTSU Lyndon Women’s Soccer

Lyndonville, VT- Emily Clark (St. Johnsbury, VT) of St. Johnsbury Academy has committed and deposited to the Vermont State University Women's Soccer program. She plans to study nursing.

Primarily a Centerback, Clark was a 3 year varsity performer for St. Johnsbury, helping to lead the Hilltoppers to the final four in the playoffs the past two seasons. She was named a captain for her senior year and was named to the Division 1 All Metro Second Team. In addition to playing for the high school team, Clark spent time playing for Caledonia Flood Club Soccer.

Outside of soccer, Clark was a very active student athlete at St. Johnsbury. She played 3 years of varsity basketball, making the final 4 twice in that time frame. She also played 2 years of varsity softball before taking time off her senior year to focus on soccer. A good student, Clark was a member of the National Honor Society.

Head coach Zach Blaser looks forward to bolstering his backline, "Emily is a highly versatile player, capable of playing anywhere centrally. She has great awareness of the game and is capable of passing into channels to help the team both offensively and defensively."

Clark joins Olivia Morris, Wahaila Granillo, Kailee Dohrman, Phoebe Crocker, and Ella Renaud in Vermont State University Lyndon Women's soccer recruiting class for this year.
