Waterville, ME - Vermont State University Lyndon sophomore Megan Richardson (Essex Junction, VT) has been named to the 2026 North Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Sportsmanship Team, as voted on by conference coaches and announced on Thursday.

Richardson played first doubles and split between first and second singles this season.  She picked up three singles victories at two, downing Brooklykn Porter, Roselyn Gibbons, and Rose Oakland respectively in Lyndon's three wins over Vermont State University Johnson.  Richardson also teamed with Olivia Cordova (Craig, CO) for a pair of doubles victories against Johnson, and with Chloe Murphy (Manchester, NH) for another win versus the Badgers.

Six student-athletes were selected to the NAC Women's Tennis Sportsmanship Team for consistently demonstrating the tenets of sportsmanship and ethical behavior.  The honorees positively influenced the tennis culture and match environment by exemplifying integrity beyond the rules and etiquette of the game.

Richardson is expected to be one of the Hornets' top returning players in 2027.
