VTSU Lyndon interim head coach Saleena Porter believes that Walker will make an impact with the Hornets. "We are very excited to welcome Haylee Walker to our basketball program! Haylee is a phenomenal student athlete. She values her time on and off the court and will be a very well-rounded addition to our roster. Once she got to campus for a visit, I knew that she would be a great fit within our team. She holds herself to high standards and is excellent at meeting them. She will make an impact on the court with her strong work ethic and ability to score in the paint. Haylee will make a positive impact on and off the court at Lyndon."
Sierra Blanca head coach Felix Reyes also shared his thoughts about Walker. "Haylee is a one of a kind athlete. A coachable kid that wants to learn the game and go above and beyond to make her game better if not perfect. A non stop worker perfecting her skills. Morning, day or night, Haylee never missed a chance to be better. Her attitude and character goes beyond the court. A well rounded kid that comes from a great family. Haylee set an example in the classroom as well maintaining a 3.8 GPA. Very well liked by her peers and other coaches and players in our district. Haylee was known to be a respectful young lady win or lose. Haylee has left a high bar to set for others in our basketball program. Vermont State University is lucky to have picked Haylee to be a part of their basketball program and it will be a win win situation on the court and in the classroom."
Walker joins Keira Quintal (Sheffield, VT) and Za'Khia Germany (Tulsa, OK) in VTSU Lyndon's 2025-26 class. The Hornets expect to announce additional commits in the near future.
