Waterville, ME - Vermont State University Lyndon sophomore Alyssa Gerrish (Alburgh, VT) has been named to the North Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Sportsmanship Team, as voted on by conference coaches and announced on Wednesday.
Gerrish competed in six matches during her first intercollegiate season. She played primarily second singles and second doubles, teaming with Chloe McIntire (Bradford, VT) for a win against Vermont State University Johnson on September 18th.
Six student-athletes were selected to the NAC Women's Tennis Sportsmanship Team for consistently demonstrating the tenets of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees positively influenced the tennis culture and match environment by exemplifying integrity beyond the rules and etiquette of the game.
Gerrish and the Hornets completed their season on October 5th.
