Waterville, ME - Vermont State University Lyndon cross country runner Nathan Moore (Norwich, CT) has been named to the 2023 North Atlantic Conference Men's Cross Country Sportsmanship Team, as voted on by conference coaches and announced on Tuesday.

Moore, a sophomore atmospheric sciences major, was Lyndon's top runner all season.  He placed 65th in this past Saturday's North Atlantic Conference Championship meet, completing the 8K University of Maine at Presque Isle course in 35:11.9.  His best finish was eighth at the Thomas College Terrier Invitational.  His best 8K time of the season was 32:40.7 at the Aldrich Invitational hosted by Middlebury College.

Selection to the Sportsmanship Team is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees have positively affected the cross country culture and meet day environment by clearly demonstrating sportsmanship and integrity beyond the rules and etiquette.

Moore will conclude his season at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships on Saturday, November 11th, at Westfield State University.  The men's championship race with go off at 11:00 am.
