Johnson, VT - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon dropped an 8-1 decision to Northern Vermont University-Johnson on Tuesday afternoon.  Johnson improves to 2-1 on the season while Lyndon remains winless in six matches.

Johnson captured all three doubles matches by 8-1 margins.

In singles play, Emma Powers (St. Johnsbury, VT) picked up Lyndon's lone win with an 8-5 victory over Johnson's Amanda Rosalbo in the sixth flight.  At fifth singles, the Badgers' Faith Mead was a 6-0, 6-3 winner over the Hornets' Lexi Foley (Newburyport, MA).  Johnson's Metea Smith defeated Lyndon's Renee Chaples (Palmer, MA) at fourth singles.  Johnson won each of the top three flights by identical 6-0, 6-1 scores.

The Hornets will host Husson University in a North Atlantic Conference match on Saturday afternoon.  Doubles play is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm.
