Box Score STOWE, Vt. – The Lyndon State College men's tennis team hosted Thomas College at the Top Notch Resort in Stowe Saturday afternoon, dropping the match 9-0.
In first flight doubles, Zachary Disch and Ryan Chasse bested Tyler Hall and Jake LaCerda 8-2. Jared Waterhouse and Kaleb Payson grasped an 8-3 win over Michael Sigsbury and Dylan Cherko in the second flight. Ross Munn and Mark Amato swept Bradley Shumway and Neal Mulligan, 8-0.
In No. 1 singles, Chasse outlasted Hall 6-0, 6-2, while Munn took down LaCerda 6-2, 6-3 in No. 2. During the No. 3 singles, Dish beat Sigsbury 6-2, 6-1. Waterhouse topped Cherko 6-2 in both sets for the No. 4 victory. Payson swept Mulligan 6-0, 6-0 while Amato took Niemann 6-2, 6-2 in No. 5 and 6 singles.
Lyndon hosts Johnson State College on Wednesday, April 26th at 3:30 p.m. for their final match of the season where they will be celebrating their seniors.
Thomas will travel to Colby-Sawyer College on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
