Lyndonville, VT - Vermont State University Lyndon men's tennis player David Gratton (Newport, VT) has been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team, as announced on Tuesday.
Gratton is a senior Business Administration major with a management concentration. He has a 3.93 grade point average and is expected to graduate this Sunday. This season Gratton was 6-2 in singles play, primarily in the number two position. At doubles he was 3-7 overall and 3-2 at number two. A year ago Gratton was Lyndon's Most Valuable Player and teamed with Jeffrey Blais to earn Empire 8 All-Conference 2nd Team East Division Doubles honors. This is Gratton's third consecutive Academic All-District selection. He also earned the honor once, in Fall 2024, in men's soccer.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The top Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 3rd.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
