Box Score

Waterville, ME - Thomas College ran out to a 52-31 halftime advantage and cruised to a 92-66 win over Lyndon State College in Friday night's North Atlantic Conference men's basketball game.  The Terriers improved to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the NAC, while the Hornets fell to 0-5 and 0-2 in conference play.

The Hornets competed on much more even terms in the second half, outscoring the Terriers, 48-43, in the session.  Hornet freshman Korey Steele (Jupiter, FL) scored all of his team high 14 points in the second half.  Jahleel Gabriel (Springfield, MA) tallied nine points and nine rebounds in the second half, finishing the game with a double double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.

MacKinnon paced Thomas with 14 points, including connecting on 4 of 6 three-point goals.  John Morgan (Sanford, ME) and Justin Butler (Orlando, FL) added 12 points each for the Terriers.  CJ Jimmy (Modesto, CA) chipped in 11 points and handed out a team best three assists for the Hornets.

The Hornets return to action tomorrow with a 3:00 pm contest at the University of Maine at Farmington.  Thomas hosts Johnson State College tomorrow.
