JOHNSON, Vt. – The Lyndon State College women's tennis team came up short in a conference match to Johnson State College Tuesday, 6-3. 

Greta Larson (Williamsville, Vt.) and Alexandria Maynard (East Hampton, Conn.) would pick up the third flight doubles victory for the Hornets 10-8 over Ashley Fogg and Kali Covell.  Badgers Annette Kaminski and Katherina VonWoerkom took the first flight doubles match over Christina Boyce (Schaghticoke, N.Y.) and Olivia Bernard (Westmore, Vt.) 8-3 while Nicole Monick and Jana Somero gained a Badger victory over Nichole Jones (Lisbon Falls, Maine) and Carina Alden (New Marlborough, Mass.) 8-1.

Lyndon's Alexa Richard (Haverhill, Mass.) and Carina Alden picked up close victories over Nicole Monick, 7-6, 6-4 and Jordan Miller, 6-4, 7-5, in fifth and sixth flight singles.

Johnson's Kaminski, VonWoerkom, Kali Covell, and Somero secured the victory with singles wins over Boyce, Jones, Maynard, and Bernard.
