HENNIKER, N.H. – Anthony Cotoni scored six goals and added an assist as Daniel Webster defeated Lyndon 16-8 in a non-conference game played at Melander Field on the campus of New England College.

David Downie netted a game-high seven goals, added an assist and notched a career-high 13 groundballs to go with six faceoff victories. Dan Knupfer chipped in with two goals and an assist.

Mike Viola added a goal and assist. Brandyn Torrey pulled in nine groundballs defensively.
Curtis Larade posted 17 saves for the Eagles.

Lyndon State (1-5, 1-4), serving as the home team, was paced by two goals, four assists and eight groundballs from Ian Pelkey (Milton, Vt.) while Robert Crupi (Scituate, Mass.) and Kevin McCarthy (Sayville, N.Y.) added two goals apiece.

Justin Mosher (Salem, N.H.) chipped in with a goal and assists and game-high 11 groundballs. Shane Morin (Salem, N.H.) matched his Eagle counterpart in goal finishing with 17 stops.

DWC finished with advantages in shots on goal (33-25) and groundballs (59-57) while the Hornets won the battle in the faceoff circle (14-12) and was 3 for 7 on the power play.

Lyndon hosts Albertus Magnus on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
