Box Score NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich University men's tennis ran its record to 3-0 on the season with a 9-0 match victory over Lyndon Thursday at Shapiro Field House.
In doubles play, the Cadet tandem of Christian Hoskey and Ryan Grindle defeated John Corey (Bennington, Vt.) and Trevor Updike (Falmouth, Mass.) 8-2 and in second doubles, the team of Joe Dvorak and Ian Hyte beat Chas Legge (Essex Junction, Vt.) and Tyler Hall (Keene, N.H.) by the identical score of 8-2.
Patrick Ogden and Jay Carter completed Norwich's sweep in third flight doubles with an 8-5 win over Mike Desmond (Enfield, Conn.) and Josh Bacon (St. Johnsbury, Vt.).
Grindle topped Corey 6-1, 6-0 in No. 1 singles and Hoskey downed Updike 6-1, 6-2 in second singles. Hyte earned a 6-1, 6-3 win over Hall in third singles while Dvorak topple Legge 6-1, 6-1 in No. 4 singles. Carter (6-0, 6-1) and Ogden (6-1, 6-1) defeated Desmond and Bacon in fifth and sixth singles, respectively.
