NEW LONDON, N.H. — Colby Sawyer ousted Lyndon for the North Eastern Athletic Conference semifinals Saturday with a 9-0 blanking the Hornets.
In first doubles, Elizabeth Lincoln and Ashlyn Ramsay beat Kayla Flynn (Johnston, R.I.) and Kelsey Johnson (White River Junction, Vt.) 8-0. The No. 2 doubles the team of Charlotte Horton and Oxana Tkachenko topped Olivia Bernard (Barton, Vt.) and Kelly Butler (Hubbardston, Mass.) 8-0.
In the third flight, the duo of Ellen Graham and Conley Dion finished off the sweep by besting Carina Alden (New Marlborough, Mass.) and Alexandria Maynard (East Hampton, Conn.) 8-2.
In single play, Flynn lost to Lincoln 6-4, 6-1 and in No. 2 singles, Johnson fell to Ramsay by a scores of 6-0, 6-0. In the third flight, Bernard lost to Horton 6-1, 6-0 before Butler dropped a 6-0, 6-2 decision to Tkachenko.
In fifth singles, Maynard lost 6-0, 6-3 to Graham and Alden dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision to Dion in sixth singles.
