Keiley leads MMA over Lyndon

CASTINE, Maine – Chris Keiley collected seven points and became Maine Maritime's all-time leading scorer, propelling the Mariners to a 18-4 win over Lyndon in North Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse action.

Andrew DiSalvo led all players with eight points including three goals and five assists, but Keiley stole the show as he moved into first place on the all-time scoring list with 197 career points. Keiley is tops in career goals scored with 123 and in career assists with 74 passing the old scoring mark set by Sean Gallivan in 1998. Tom Houle and Alex Hermes scored three goals apiece while Brian Corain, and Wade Mondoux, collected two points each. Todd Murphy, Nick Snelling and Nick Lund all had a point in the victory.

Chris Mansour (Mansfield, Mass.) led the Hornets with two goals while Dan Randall (Delmar, N.Y.) and Ryan Brown (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) each scored a goal. Teddy Benoit (Orleans, Vt.) and Luke Haskell (Ellsworth, Maine.) accounted for the three Lyndon assists.

Maine Maritime led 6-2 after the first period, getting three goals from DiSalvo and two from Hermes. MMA outscored the Hornets 6-0 in the second stanza, getting four markers from Keiley, taking a 12-2 lead into the half. Maine Maritime would get two third quarter goals from Houle to put the game away and win going away 18-4. Maine Maritime held a 50-24 advantage in the shot column and dominated the match collecting 56 ground balls while forcing 30 turnovers.

Erik Milles collected the win for the Mariners, making 10 saves, while Matt Reynolds (New Fairfield, Conn.) took the loss for Lyndon while making 19 saves.
