LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Lyndon jumped back
into the win column with a 9-0 road victory over Johnson State
College.
Lyndon's Jenn Falsetti (Albany, N.Y.) defeated Rebecca
Quarantiello 6-4, 6-1 in first singles and Maria Parr (Montpelier,
Vt.) topped Johnson's Emily Miller 6-1, 6-0 in No. 2 singles.
Reigning North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week Kayla Flynn
(Johnston, R.I.) beat Kim Blakeman in third singles 6-0, 6-1 before
Kelsey Johnson (White River Junction, Vt.) topped Maegan Ploof 6-0,
6-0 in No. 4 singles.
Amber Hartman (Readsboro, Vt.) and Kaitlin Cunningham (South
Stratford, Vt.) closed out the match for Lyndon by earning wins in
fifth and sixth singles. They defeated Kate Murphy and Catlyn
Hughes, respectively, by identical scores of 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles action, Falsetti and Johnson teamed up at No. 1
doubles to defeat Blakeman and Miller 9-7. Parr and Flynn collected
an 8-2 win in second doubles over Quarantiello and Katelyn Breault
while Hartman and Cunningham topped Murphy and Ploof, 8-0, in third
doubles play.
