Box Score LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — The Lyndon women's soccer team
ran its record to 5-1- on the season with a 9-0 win over Southern
Vermont College.
Jesi Amsden (Orwell, Vt.) gave the Hornets the lead for good 18
second into the game with a goal off an assist from Michelle Kittredge (Danville, Vt.). Abby Fadden (North Haverhill, N.H.)
extended the lead to 2-0 six minutes later with an unassisted tally
before Kittredge added an unassisted marker of her own at
14:10.
Naomi White (Danville, Vt.) ended the scoring at 17:57 of the
first half, scoring her third goal of the season with the assist
going to Morgan Sanderson Fairfax, Vt.).
Lyndon's Samantha Bergeron (Milton, Vt.) sandwiched two
goals around a tally by Sanderson early in the second half, with
assists going to Michelle Wilcox (Sheldon, Vt.) and White,
respectively. Heather Fortin's (Lebanon, Maine) second goal
of the season and Ceili Grinnell's (Easton, Conn.) tally with
9:30 left to play closed out the scoring in the contest. Fadden
drew an assist – her fourth – on the Fortin goal.
Hornet goalkeeper Samantha Smith (North Haverhill, N.H.) did not
make a save in the contest and earned her fourth shutout of the
year. Mountaineers' goalie Catrina Cecchini had 18 saves as
Lyndon outshot Southern Vermont by a margin of 53-0.
