— Kolby Peckham scored five goals to lead Thomas
College to an 8-6 victory over Lyndon State College.
The win was Thomas' first of
the season and upped its record to 1-2 overall, and 1-1 in North
Atlantic Conference play. Lyndon, on the other hand, suffered its
first loss, falling to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the NAC.
Peckham scored the Terriers'
four goals of the game before Matt Fry punched in a tally at 13:20
of the third quarter. Scott Dumas and Kevin Averill had one goal
each for Thomas.
Chris Mansour
(Mansfield, Mass.) netted three goals for Lyndon while
Colin Blanchard (Williamstown, Vt.), Josh
Arango (Salisbury, Mass.) and Luke Norman-Lacroix (Barre, Vt.) scored one goal each.
Goaltender Ed Horan (Norwood, Mass.) had two
assists for the Hornets.
Terriers' goalies Josh
Coello and Jesse Morkeski combined for 11 saves while Horan stopped
14 shots for Lyndon. Lyndon outshot Thomas by a margin of
51-39
