PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Lydia Smith won matches
in both singles and doubles to lead the Plymouth State University
women's tennis team to a 7-2 victory over Lyndon in a
non-conference match at the PSU Physical Education Center.
Smith kept her perfect singles record intact, improving to 8-0 this
season with a 7-6, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles. She also paired
up with Rachel Figura for an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles.
PSU also collected singles wins from junior Laura Donovan at No. 1,
Molly Heartfield at No. 4, and Jane Duggan at No. 5.
The Hornets were led by Jenn Falsetti (Albany, N.Y.), who won her
No. 2 singles match in straight sets. Maria Parr (Montpelier, Vt.)
and Kayla Flynn (Johnston, R.I.) also picked up a win for Lyndon
State at No. 2 doubles.
