Lyndonville, VT - Alex Leslie (Dalton, NH), a 2024 graduate of Profile School in Bethlehem, NH, has deposited and committed to the Vermont State University Lyndon men's basketball program for the 2025-26 season.  He will study Criminal Justice.

Leslie, a 6'2" forward, was a four-year varsity performer at Profile.  In his senior season of 2023-24 he helped lead the Patriots to a perfect 27-0 season and the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association Division IV State Championship, the school's second ever and first in 21 years.  He was a three-time All-State selection by the New Hampshire Basketball Coaches Organization.  As a senior, he garnered 1st Team All-State honors from both the NHBCO and NHsportspage.  He was also a three-time Granite State Conference North All-Conference selection and a two-time Caledonian-Record Dream Dozen selection.  Leslie scored 1,435 career points, the second highest total ever at Profile.  he was also a forward on the Patriot soccer team.

VTSU Lyndon head men's basketball coach David Pasiak is thrilled to have Leslie join the Hornets.  "First and foremost, Alex brings a championship pedigree.  He was an integral part of the ascent of Profile's program, culminating with a historic season in his senior year.  He is a tough, physical player who can be a big scorer on offense and a hard nosed defender and rebounder.  He's a year out of high school, and in that time he has really filled out and matured physically.  I expect him to make an immediate positive impact on our team."

Mitchell Roy coached Leslie at Profile and witnessed his growth as a player firsthand.  "Alex is a fierce competitor that takes pride in defense, rebounding, making the extra pass and hustle plays.  These factors along with his scoring ability were essential to our state championship run his senior season.  Alex improved every season, mastering his footwork and ambidextrous finishing at the rim.  I am excited to see him blossom into a strong collegiate player at Lyndon.  He is going to be a great addition for the Hornets!"

Leslie joins Jack Giarrusso (Greenville, NY), Jacob McPhail (Brooksville, FL), Aaric Luce (Le Roy, NY), Andrew Joncas (Danville, VT), and Jordan Thibodeaux (Columbus, GA), Xavier Rainwater (Frisco, TX), Jaiden Cole (Rutland, VT), and Jorden Cole (Rutland, VT) in VTSU Lyndon's 2025-26 class.  The Hornets expect to announce additional commits in the near future.
