Waterville, ME - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon men's soccer player Matthew Condon East Bridgewater, MA) has been named to the 2022 North Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Sportsmanship Team as voted on by conference coaches and announced on Wednesday.

Condon, a senior atmospheric sciences major, is a four-year player for Lyndon.  This past season he started in all 15 games on defense for the Hornets.  He has played in 46 games over his career, starting 38 times.  Condon was named Best Teammate in 2021.  He is also a member of the men's tennis team and has been named to the Dean's List and President's List numerous times.

Selection to the Sportsmanship Team is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior.  The honorees have positively affected the men's soccer culture and game environment by clearly demonstrating sportsmanship and integrity beyond the soccer rules and etiquette.

The Hornets completed their season last month.  Condon is expected to compete on the Hornet men's tennis team in the spring and graduate in May.
