POULTNEY, Vt. - Lyndon extended its winning streak to four games with an 87-68 North Atlantic Conference victory over Green Mountain College on Tuesday.

Lyndon (8-11, 8-4 NAC) received double-digit scoring from three players en route to victory. Guards JoJo Woodruff (Washington, D.C.) and David Johnson (Washington, D.C.) each scored 18 points while forward Josh Bosworth (East Longmeadow, Mass.) chipped in with 12. The leading rebounder for the Hornets was Travon Shirley (Hartford, Conn.) who pulled down six caroms coming off the bench.

Green Mountain (4-13, 3-10 NAC) received a double-double from guard Robert Holloway who tallied 11 points and 10 rebounds.  Fellow guard Cassius Belfon was the leading scorer for the Eagles with 17 points, while forward Javier Lugris chipped in with 11 points and six boards.

The two halves of basketball showcased two distinctly different styles of play. The opening half was methodical and patient which stood in stark contrast to the frenetic pace of the second half. Both teams nearly doubled their first half output in the second half as the action went end-to-end with several dunks and and-one conversions.

The major separator for the Hornets in the win was their ability to hit free throws.  The visitors shot 80 percent from the charity stripe to just 44 percent for the Eagles. Lyndon also did a good job of protecting the ball and forcing the Eagles into turnovers.
