GALLOWAY, N.J. – Lyndon opened its 2014-15 season and a down note with a 110-82 loss to Albertus Magnus College in the preliminary round of the Richard Stockton College Tournament.

The Falcons were led by Tavon Sledge who tossed in a game-high 32 points and a team-high four assists. Victor Ljuljdjuraj had a double-double with 14 points and 18 rebounds while teammates Lemar Larsen and Eian Davis chipped in 16 and 13 points, respectively.

Ljuljdjuraj also had four blocked shots and four steals in the game and Julian Sanders handed out four assists while collecting four steals for Albertus Magnus (1-0).

George Carle had 26 points, 14 rebounds and four steals in the loss and David Johnson tossed in 24 points to go along with five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Zach Louissaint had four assists for the Hornets while Dawda Jallow and Robert Rouelle had three each.

"David and George played well offensively and, as a team, we rebounded the ball very well also," said Lyndon Head Coach Chris Dorsey. "But the thing that hurt us most was the 53 points they scored off our turnovers. If we had done a better job of taking care of the ball things would have been different. We had it to within five points at one time, but the turnovers quickly became our curse. The only thing we can do is learn from this experience, take better care of the ball and run our system. When we ran our system tonight we did well."

The Hornets (0-1) will face the loser of the Stockton-Wilkes University matchup Sunday afternoon at approximately 2 p.m.
