Box Score FARMINGTON, Maine – Jenna Silliboy scored twice and three teammates added one goal each as the University of Maine at Farmington broke into the win column with a 5-0 triumph over visiting Lyndon 5-0, in a North Atlantic Conference women's soccer match Wednesday at Prescott Field.
Kayla Tuttle scored UMaine-Farmington's (1-3-1, 1-0-0 NAC) first goal, gently tapping in a cross inside the six-yard box from Renee Dupre in the 21st minute. Silliboy doubled the Beavers' lead to 2-0 in the 36th minute, finishing a cross from Ava Amador.
That 2-0 Farmington lead held up well into the second half, when the Beavers scored three goals in the span of six-and-a-half minutes to put the game away.
Silliboy scored an unassisted tally in the 71st minute, and Baylee Doughty scored barely a minute later when she buried Amador's cross from the right side. Bridget Humphrey rounded out the scoring, beating Lyndon keeper Emily Strese (Gilmanton, N.H.) in a rush on the goal in the 77th minute. FHeather King was credited with an assist on the goal.
UMaine-Farmington outshot Lyndon, 37-7, and had a 10-1 advantage in corner kicks. UMF keeper Beth Lebel logged four saves in the shutout win, giving the senior her 11th career shutout. Marley Harmon (Buxton, Maine) started in goal for the Hornets and charted 10 saves with four goals allowed, before being lifted for Strese in the 76th minute
