Box Score BANGOR, Maine – Husson men's soccer scored two second half goals against Lyndon State, to secure their undefeated record against North Atlantic Conference opponents this season.
The extremely physical match between the NAC rivals saw the first 67 minutes go scoreless with intense back and forth battle. Husson slowly wore down the defense of the Hornets with their persistence and force.
Jimmy Fitzpatrick played up a pass from Mike Desmond. The ball ricocheted off the hands of Lyndon goalie Jason Marks (Newtown. Conn.) and found its way into the back of the net to put the Eagles up 1-0.
In the 84th minute Charles Bujambi shot the ball in the direction of Alain Tuyishime who then kicked the ball in off his heels with his back turned to the net. With that the Eagles rode out their 2-0 victory.
Brian Potter was strong in net for the Eagles, stopping all five shots he faced, earing the win. Marks earned the loss with three saves.
