Box Score LYNDON CENTER, Vt. —
Avery King (Pawtucket, R.I.) scorched the nets for 39
points to lead the Lyndon State College men's basketball team
to a 91-75 victory over Vermont Tech at Stannard
Gymnasium.
King connected on eight of his 13
three-point attempts and was seven-for-nine from the free throw
line. Ben Sackett (Lyndonville, Vt.) chipped in 14
points for the Hornets while Dan Nichols
(Bennington, Vt.) came off the bench to add 10. Jason Gray (East Thetford, Vt.) grabbed a team-high nine
rebounds for Lyndon, Jose Fortunato (Boston,
Mass.) dished out seven assists and King collected five
steals.
The Green Knights were led by
Linden Smith-Hyde, who poured in 21 points and the tandem of Kevin
Carr and Rayon Watson, who tallied 20 and 10 points, respectively.
Trent Roleau collected a game-high 16 rebounds in the loss, while
Carr had six assists and three steals.
